Reflection: How do we convince people that Jesus is the way to salvation? And that we should follow Him and obey His teachings?
I wish I had some of the Sunday School leaflets from my early childhood. There was a simple color illustration of the Bible story on the front page. And the story that followed inside was told in simple words, ending with a short prayer. Maybe this is why I so enjoy the children's sermon. One Sunday the pastor took a tube of toothpaste and emptied it all onto a plate. Then he looked at the children sitting before him and asked, “Now how do we put the toothpaste back in?” The message was once words are spoken, they are impossible to take back so be careful what you say.
Let us choose our words with simplicity and sincerity. All we need do is share what we truly believe. -- Alice Yeakel
