Reading: John 20: 19-31
Reflection: It's the day after Easter. Hopefully, you had a joyous celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord. Today is one of those days that I feel can be a letdown. We've just come through a season of Lent, when many people practiced a discipline that may have pervaded their lives. Then, we have the great three days when we commemorate Jesus' last hours and death on the cross. And finally, it was Easter, as we celebrated Christ's victory over death. So what do we do on this Monday? It kind of feels to me like the day after a big event such as Christmas or a wedding. We put all our efforts into getting ready for one glorious day and then it is over. I think the key to surviving the post-Easter blahs is to continue to share the good news of the Easter story. Proclaim with the disciples that Jesus has risen! You can do that boldly or you can be like Doubting Thomas, needing more proof before you share the good news. Hopefully, you will be like the ones Jesus spoke of when he said, "Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe." --Chad Hershberger,
