Reflection: I have been hoping for a lot of things lately. The list is long; maybe too long as a whole lot of my time could be spent hoping, hoping and hoping for this, that and the other thing. How about you?
It is written in Hebrews that by our faith we are assured of things hoped for. Notice faith comes first which then gives us assurance. Keeping that in mind, perhaps the hopes won't get in the way of living in faith.
In other words, instead of being hopefully hopeful we are to live faithfully hopeful. I am feeling more assured already. How about you? --Ruth Gates
