Reflection: I walk a lot. If it's within walking distance, I would rather walk than drive. I've heard it said everything is within walking distance if you have the time. This is true.
The Lord appeared to Abram and told him, "Walk before me, and be blameless." (Genesis 17: 1) Mind you, Abram was 99 years old. I hope I am still walking at 99 and I hope I am still walking before the Lord watching for signs of His love.
Sometimes when I walk, I pray. Sometimes when I walk, I am simply grateful to be able to walk distances short and long. All the time, we should remember we walk before the Lord. He gives us signs of his love...within walking distance. --Ruth Gates
