Reading: John 8: 1-11 Reflection: What forgiveness Jesus Christ had toward the woman who committed adultery! The Ten Commandments say that thou shalt not commit adultery. The woman broke a law. “Should she not be stoned," asked the disciples. But Jesus said, "He who is without sin cast the first stone." We all sin. And we should not look down at people who have committed sins greater than our own. In the Lord's eyes, we are all equal when it comes to sin. And we are also equal when it comes to forgiveness. I think I have learned how to forgive people-- just love them. Accept them for who they are and even if you do not agree with something they did, don't hold it against them. Be willing to love them even though they are not perfect or living up to your standards. After all, isn't that what God does? -Chad Hershberger, Camp Mount Luther Director Closing: Pray the Lord's Prayer, paying particular attention to the section on forgiveness.
