Reading: Matthew 28: 20 Reflection: During the disco era in the late 1970s, pop star Gloria Gaynor sang the song, "I Will Survive." She told of a woman who was making a go of it after being dumped by her significant other. The first line of the song goes like this: "At first I was afraid, I was petrified; kept thinking I could never live without you by my side." When I heard that line one day I thought about God. We could never live without God by our side. We need to turn to God for help and praise God for our joys. We don't need to be afraid because we will never have to live without Christ by our side. Jesus said that He is with us until the end of time. We cannot forget it. --Chad Hershberger, Camp Mount Luther Director Closing: Discuss with others, or meditate on this quote by Goethe, "Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it."
