Discussion:
Reading: Galatians 6:2 Reflection: Do you have someone who confides in you? Someone who will tell you their troubles and will ask for your advice? Someone who uses your shoulder to learn on? It may be tough at times to be a person like that. You may get consumed with that other person's problems. You may worry about that person. But Paul tells us that we are to bear another's burdens. We are to take the role of friend and confidant seriously. We are to let that person lean on us for as long as necessary. I have been privileged to have several people trust in me enough to share their problems with me and use me as a shoulder to lean on. And while at times that wasn't easy for me, I have always tried to be up for the challenge. I know that God wants me to help bear their burdens. And someday, they may be able to do the same for me. Be there for others when they need it. Help to bear their burdens. And pray about it-- the Lord is also one who will bear our burdens for us. --Chad Hershberger, Camp Mount Luther Director Closing: Pray for those who have confided in you.
