Reading: Ephesians 1: 7-9
In dealing with several situations in my life, I have seen instances when people had a hard time letting go of the past. One reason that they didn't let go of the past was that they had a hard time forgiving another person. We need to learn to forgive others. When we forgive we can lie for the present moment easier, be a better friend or relative, and it will show that you are a Christian and embody the traits of Jesus Christ.
We must remember that Jesus died for the forgiveness of sins. He came to earth as a man and taught godly principles. Then, He died at Calvary to take away our burden of sin. Because of this act, we are forgiven of all our sins, those we have committed and those yet to come.
In the next few days, we will look at passages that deal with forgiveness. Learn to forgive and forget. It's one of the most important lessons in life. --Chad Hershberger, Camp Mount Luther Director
