Prayer: Dear God, thank you for watching over Mary and giving us her son who you sent to forgive our sins. Help us to continue to praise you and be faithful to you during hard times. Continue to be with us this day. Amen.

Reflection: Mary was afraid when the angel came to her. She was worried about what it would mean for her to have baby Jesus. Even though she was afraid she still trusted in God and followed his plan for her life. It is important for us to still praise God and follow him even when we are unsure of where God is leading us. We often get big news just as Mary did, but it’s important to know that God is always watching over us in the midst of hardships, uncertainty, and big news. God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good. --Grace Roux, Tori Callahan Activity: Now draw on paper with markers or crayons what you think Mary’s reaction would look like when she first saw the angel.
