Discussion:
Reading: Exodus 32 Reflection: Moses is a leader who was caught in the middle. The people revolved and made an idol to worship. This did not please the Lord. God was going to punish them. Moses tried to get God to change course. Moses was stuck between God and the people. I have served on several boards of organizations. Often, there are conflicts between members because they have different viewpoints on an issue. Heated discussions may take place and tempers may flare. One faction may believe it should be done one way; another has the totally opposite viewpoint. In one particular instance, a board I served on was having a difficult decision on a budget issue. After much discussion, we were all very frustrated. Someone suggested that we pray about it. Following the prayer, we took a vote. The decision was unanimous. When you are caught in the middle, try to resolve the situation but don't forget to pray about it, too. It could make all the difference! --Chad Hershberger, Camp Mount Luther Director Closing: On this day, pray for all those who make decisions in our churches.
