QUESTION 1: What scares, confuses, challenges, or doesn’t make sense to me in this text? QUESTION 2: What delights me in this text or is my favorite part of the story? QUESTION 3: What stories or memories does this text stir in me? QUESTION 4: What is God up to in this text? Reflection: “For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” How do you feel about the cross? In this season of Epiphany, as we explore the ways that Jesus revealed who he was, it’s interesting that we are reminded to keep our eyes on the cross. It is the good news! Paul reminds us of all the foolish things that we could focus our thoughts on and then ends by reminding us to boast in the Lord. How will you do that today? --Chad Hershberger
