For they are treated just the same - by Fate. These are the opening lyrics to a song called, "Bluebird of Happiness" that was popular many years ago. God welcomed Lazarus, who was sick and helpless, into heaven. The rich man, however, was not welcomed. Why? Perhaps the rich man hoarded his wealth rather than sharing it with those who were struggling. Lazarus, poor as he was in life, ate the crumbs that dropped from the rich man's table. In the end, the rich man begged for a drop of water. God asks those who have much to be aware of the needs of the unfortunate. -- Alice Yeakel
