Prayer: O Lord, protect and heal with your steadfast love. Amen
Reading: Psalm 36: 5-10 (Click to read text) Stop and GROW: After reading the text, discuss/ponder the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's Book of Faith questions, which are part of Camp Mount Luther's GROW Time with campers. QUESTION 1: What scares, confuses, challenges, or doesn’t make sense to me in this text? QUESTION 2: What delights me in this text or is my favorite part of the story? QUESTION 3: What stories or memories does this text stir in me? QUESTION 4: What is God up to in this text? Reflection: God’s love is steadfast and His faithfulness reaches out to all of us. I have a young friend who faced major surgery and decision-making. She lives in NYC; her family in Seattle, WA. Her bright, happy spirit amazed me. She remains steadfast with a faith that she will come through this surgery with renewed good health. This all took place just a week before Christmas. I feel like a bystander cheering her on from the bleachers. May God’s steadfast love protect and heal her. We read this in Psalms and many other Bible passages. I do believe in His infinite caring! -- Alice Yeakel
