Discussion:
Reading: Deuteronomy 4: 44-45 Reflection: Can you imagine if our government abolished all our laws and told people that the only rules we would have to follow are the ones in the Bible? There would be no legislation on the books, just God's teachings in the Holy Word? This scenario was posed by a well-known Christian minister once. He said that if Washington were to get rid of our laws and tell us to follow the Bible instead, our country would survive quite nicely. It made me think. Wouldn't it be great if everyone would follow the Word of God? I know it can be tough sometimes but if we strive to do all that we are taught, don't you think this would be a better country? I don't think our nation's rules would be abandoned. But if we start living better in God's sight, the nation would grow stronger and would be a better place to live. --Chad Hershberger, Camp Mount Luther Director Closing: Make a list of ways that you want to be better at following God.
