Prayer: May we learn to be okay with whatever is going on right now, Lord. Amen.
Reading: Ecclesiastes 3: 9-22 (Click to read text) Stop and GROW: After reading the text, discuss/ponder the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's Book of Faith questions, which are part of Camp Mount Luther's GROW Time with campers. QUESTION 1: What scares, confuses, challenges, or doesn’t make sense to me in this text? QUESTION 2: What delights me in this text or is my favorite part of the story? QUESTION 3: What stories or memories does this text stir in me? QUESTION 4: What is God up to in this text? Reflection: These verses say to me that you should live for today. Be happy whatever you are doing. There is a time for everything. God is in control. God knows what has been and what will be. We should just enjoy what God has given us in this moment. St. Paul says in Philippians 4:11, “Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.” Are you content with what is going on right now? --Chad Hershberger
