Reflection: It’s Halloween. Tomorrow is All Saints Day. Two holidays that are very different! In these verses from Revelation, we are reminded that we are part of the great cloud of witnesses who are all saints of God. As we don costumes tonight and maybe go out and get some candy from neighbors, let us not forget the white robes we will wear as followers of God.
In our passage today, it also reminds us that there will be a time when all will get along with one another no matter the differences. I think as we start a new month tomorrow, I’m going to try to look for ways to be more tolerant and be more loving to those who are different from me. Hearing what that will be like in heaven has inspired me to try and bring a little heaven here on earth. Won’t you join me? --Chad Hershberger
